The 20 year old began singing at an early age, picking up the guitar at 10 and remaining self-taught in both instruments until the end of High School. It wasn’t until that final year of high school that she began song writing and considering music as her life’s passion and career. In a snap decision she decided to forsake a traditional course of education at UTS and instead enrolled at JMC Academy, Sydney. She is currently studying her final year of her degree, and through JMC has played some of the best venues in Sydney fronting both their JMC Big Band and bands of her own (Stereo Lotion and Arkadian), as well as performing as a session singer for other artists.

In the last three months, August made the decision to venture forward as a solo artist, changing the format of her band from Arkadian, to August Storm, with supporting musicians The Arkadian's. And since then, she has only moved forward in leaps and bounds.
August Storm is taking rock in Australia to the next level, blazing a path for strong women in music at the top of the industry. The Storm has arrived and she is ready to rock the world.
