From Radio DJ to Producer to Compiling Albums to Remixer to International Club DJ and now to event host in Sydney. It’s certainly been a wild ride for this London born DJ who has dedicated the best part of 20+ years of his life to all things Underground House.
Its not enough to list the numerous DJ sets he has performed or the BIG names he has shared line-ups with (Masters at Work, Kerri Chandler, Pete Tong, Victor Simonelli, Judge Jules et al) or to list the production credits (R2001, Nocturnal, collaborations with Mr Left Eye, Keith Thompson et al) or to mention the successes gained through breaking new music as a label promoter for Phuture Trax and then as compiler for React Music London and then his own lable Cultural Vibe UK.
What is worth mentioning however is that wherever JIMUPHY MASTERS lays his mix he makes a home out of HOUSE for many around him .
His current guise as radio show host for the internationally acclaimed
‘THE WEEKLY R&G show currently broadcasting from Sydney's BONDiFM 88.0 and streamed LIVE over the net has taken him just 15 months from start to capture a global audience and contribute to spreading the word according to Underground House.
What is still remarkable is his understated DJ performances which have in part been due to his constant unsettled movements.
However all this has changed, with JM now host of his own radio show, over 60 online mix podcasts and a WEEKLY residency spreading the R&G vibe.
